ABOUT ME!

My name is Eren Erener. I was born in Afyon/Turkey. During highschool years, I went to work as an intern for Vestel Electronics in Turkey. Vestel Group of Companies consisting of a total of 18 companies including seven domestic and eleven foreign companies which are active in the electronic, white goods, and information technology fields. I worked in TV, video, the audio assembly line, and the research-development lab. After the highscool, I attended a technical community college for a year. Soon after I was accepted by a 4-year college and left the community college. During my college years I worked with several companies that dealt with PCs, printers, faxes, photocopy devices, and installation, repair, and maintenance of these machines.  After graduating from college, I started to work for a local TV station in Ankara, where I was responsible for prompter and CG devices. In 1999, I was employed by a Technical High School in Adana. During the two years there, I taught practical electronics and computer lessons.

Between 2001 and 2006, I worked as a computer instructor for a Technical Community College. I also worked in the IT department where I prepared a new computer network that supported five computer laboratories. I also prepared a server room and arranged a Windows 2003 Active Directory, SQL, e-mail, web, and antivirus server. In the logical network, I setup an interactive website for the teachers and students to assist them in their daily workload.  I also trained an individual to support this network from his computer since it was fully automatic.

In 2005, I prepared and submitted a proposal to the Leonardo da Vinci European Community to study the computer infrastructure of European schools. The Leonardo da Vinci European Community accepted the proposal for my team to go to Germany.  We visited several electronics and computer companies as well as several technical schools. With the knowledge gained from our study of their computer infrastructures.

Currently I am working at the Valdosta State University Center for International Programs as a graduate assistant. I am a graduate student in Instructional Technologies Program of VSU. I have also been taking some classes from Computer Science undergraduate major.
